When I go on day trips, people ask me, what is there to do there. Where do I go? And what is there to see? Using this one map, I can give them a concise and entertaining illustration to sell the event.

Process
Step 1: Understand the Area, Name Landmarks
Step 2: Block out in 3D

I used Blender3D to place the google maps image on the floor and added in primitive shapes over the map. The camera is set to an isometric angle so I did not have to do a lot of manual adjustments. The Grease Pencil function allowed me to add outlines to whatever I needed.

Step 3: Polishing and Final Images
Anyone familiar with 3D modeling software knows that making 80% of the image takes 20% of the time. The rest, can take forever. It is faster to finish it up in a digital illustration software. In this case, I used Clip Studio Paint.
